The Delwood CSD has been working on our Return To Learn Plan for the last month and these plans will continue to be updated as new guidance becomes available from the Department of Education, the CDC and local health agencies. This document reflects the work completed at this time.
The State of Iowa has asked that each district plan to offer continuous learning and requires the participation of students as schools reopen for the 2020-21 school year. This learning plan can be used in an emergency, such as the resurgence of COVID-19, or under another circumstance in which it is not possible for students to be in the building receiving instruction
Another option is a Hybrid model (Home and School) and a Face to Face on site learning model. Like all school districts, we hope to have students back in the building starting August 24. Please be patient as we anticipate different scenarios and models due to increased guidance and requirements from our state agencies.
