Delwood Community School is located in Delmar, Iowa. The towns of Delmar and Elwood combine to make the Delwood Community School System. Our elementary school enrollment is 157 students, preschool through sixth grade. We whole grade share our seventh through twelfth grade students to Maquoketa Community Schools in Maquoketa, Iowa. A high-quality education is one of the most important things that we can provide a child. Exposure to a variety of topics, people, and adventures all contribute to a fulfilling school experience.

Delwood Receives Highest Ranking from Iowa Performance Profile- EXCEPTIONAL

State of Iowa report, called
the Iowa School Performance Profiles, include each school’s scores on a set of accountability measures. The reports display scores based on a school’s overall performance, as well as the performance of subgroups of students. Please click on link to search for school or district.

Delwood PreSchool Openings for 2019-20 School Year
The Delwood PreSchool has openings for 3 year old, 4 year old and 5 year old children for the upcoming year. We offer a half-day preschool program with wrap around childcare for students needing full day accommodations.
